Pastor's Corner

With the Fall season upon us, we begin with grateful hearts to think about the many blessings we have received from the Lord over these past several months. Farmers, for example, are busy with their harvest, working almost around the clock to bring in the fruit of their year-long labor, while the rest of us look forward to celebrating the season of Thanksgiving late in November.

God’s Word is not silent on the subject of gratitude. In fact, thankfulness is often listed in the description of our new life in Christ. Colossians 2:6-7 says "As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving". Psalms 106:1 reminds us to "Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

God's word leaves no doubt that are to be a thankful people!
