What is God's plan of Salvation?

Salvation means deliverance from sin. While nearly all of the world's religions have a different understanding of this, and thereby different plans or methods that they believe will lead to Salvation, the Bible makes it crystal clear that there is only one plan, and one way to be saved.

Salvation is God's plan for mankind, it is not man's plan, and it is important that we understand this. If it were up to man, Salvation could be wrought by doing enough works or good deeds, as well as observing religious rituals. None of these things however are part of God’s plan of salvation because man is incapable of saving himself.

Why do we need Salvation?

We need Salvation because we have sinned. Ever since Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the garden of Eden, sin entered into this world. Because of this disobedience, every person is born into sin and we continue to sin because that is our nature. Because God is Holy, our sin must be dealt with because He will not permit sin to go unpunished forever.

The Bible declares that there is a day appointed when every person will stand before a Holy God and give an account for their actions. We call this the Judgement. To stand before God in an unforgiven state means that you are lost for all eternity, and will be separated from God in Hell.

How can you be saved?

To escape this eternal separation from God, there had to be a plan of Salvation. This plan can be summed up in John 3:16 which says "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life".

If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Savior today, all you need to do is repent of your sins and believe with your whole heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. If you will do that, you are now part of the body of Christ. We would love to hear from you about your Salvation!
